As you know I introduced myself two weeks ago.
I have had the pleasure of talking to some of you on the telephone and via email, even if it was just to say "Hi" or advise you on the progress of your purchases or repairs.
On Monday 24th April I successfully took and completed an Emergency First Aid at Work course. It was just a refresher course for me as I like keeping myself certified in First Aid.
Due to passing this course I have been promoted to General Manager in charge of Biscuits. James is a comedian at times. I think this was said in jest as I asked for a pay rise.
On a more personal note, completing the First Aid course I have decided to take a couple of other courses one of which is for personal reasons and close to my heart being a parent (Paediatric First Aid) and the other as it is work related. This being Health and Safety in the Workplace.
I am now taking on more and more responsibility, including being a key holder.
The only thing I am not doing is the repairs, however James is teaching me the basics on a service strip down of a watch. While showing me for the first time I noticed a fault on a dial which James hadn't spotted. A foot was broken of the back of the dial. I have seen other dials with missing feet so found it an easy observation.
