An example of a Smiths Deluxe model A504, one of the watches that was advertised as having been selected for the expedition up Everest, and seen in many of the adverts from the period, and one of the strongest selling models. Case width approx 32mm. This example dates from 1958 according to the Edinburgh gold assay marks on the SWC case.
New 16mm black strap. Frosted gilt English c series movement, with Deluxe escapement.
The case has been engraved F.F Durrant, Loyal Service. There are some scratches at the case side from careless opening, and a poor condition dial, but the watch is priced accordingly.
