This high grade J W Benson is rather unusually housed in a regular chrome topped steel backed BWC case. The dial is the Smiths best type with solid gold dial markers. The movement is in clean condition but doesn't keep time as far as I know. The movement has been serviced but the hairspring may have been shortened. I have attempted to compensate for this but time will tell whether it gains or not. The case diameter is about 31.7mm. Fitted with a new crystal and strap and mainspring. The Chrome plating is in reasonable condition. Movement batch number 608. Kif shock absorber and Breguet over-coil hairspring . The balance has proper screws on the quarters. This looks as if it the Benson answer to the Everest line in chrome cases from the period. Ive forgotten the caliber number which I think was under the dial, a cz special. It is currently on test for its time keeping.
