An example of a Smiths Deluxe model A504, one of the watches that was advertised as having been selected for the expedition up Everest,  and seen in many of the adverts from the period, and one of the strongest selling models. Case width approx 31.6mm. The thickness of the watch is 9.7mm. This example dates from 1958 according to the Edinburgh gold assay marks on the SWC case. 

New 16mm black strap. Frosted gilt English c series movement, with Deluxe escapement.

The case has been engraved F.F Durrant, Loyal Service. There are some scratches at the case side from careless opening, and a poor condition  dial, but the watch is priced accordingly.

To include advert copies form the period. Will be supplied in the original brown leather Smiths Deluxe box, and paper certificate issued by Boodle and Dunthorne in 1959. Note the interesting scratchmark on the back of one of the lugs in picture 5. H976 BRS.
