An early Dennison Aquatite cased smiths 12-15 wristwatch. I'm not sure that these are full production, but rather an amalgam of models as a precursor to the more mass produced versions, hence the rather crude font used in the printing of the name on examples of this watch. This model features a solid dustcap, originally intended to be released after the winding stem has been unscrewed, so as not to cause unnecessary damage, but as here usually seen with the stem hole vertically altered to allow in case dustcap removal. Case diameter 33.3mm, 18 mm strap size. Overall average condition for the model and period, although the movement is very good with a nice balance. Some evidence of assemblers initialling on the dial side of the movement, which would be nice to research. The strap has been changed since these photographs were taken.
